Unibuddy

Many students in private universities struggle to find a structured, secure, and convenient way to transact within their school communities. Traditional methods like social media groups and bulletin boards lack reliability, leading to trust issues, limited visibility, and inefficiencies in student commerce.

To bridge this gap, UniBuddy was designed as a centralized, student-exclusive marketplace with features tailored to their unique needs:

• Verified student profiles to ensure credibility.
• Seamless peer-to-peer transactions for goods and services.
• Edu4U – A tutorial service connecting students with academic mentors.
• Entrepreneurial support to help students promote their businesses.
• Mobile Waiters – A logistics solution for student-run businesses.

We developed a prototype and conducted user testing with private university students. Based on feedback, we enhanced:

• Navigation and UI/UX for a smoother experience.
• Transaction security to prevent fraudulent activities.
• Search and filter functions for improved product discovery.

The final version of UniBuddy successfully integrates commerce, academic support, and entrepreneurship into a single, easy-to-use platform for private university students. It fosters a self-sustaining campus economy, helping students academically and financially thrive.
